Novus: Black is a visual style for Windows XP it's a Black version of Novus theme made by Gelosea aka Capric0rn

Special credits and thanks to Gelosea aka Capric0rn author of Novus theme for giving me full permission to release this theme as official Novus Black, and help me to polish it, notifying me about bugs, testing it, I'm really appreciated for his help.

Installation:
Before using this theme, you'll need to patch a system file which is called UXTheme.dll
UXTender allows you to do this. All you have to do is download the patcher and run it.
When that's done, you'll need to place the folder called "Novus Black" in "C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes".

There's a choise between a style with the userpicture and one without. The 2 styles can be found on the "Color combination" dropdown menu.
This visual style also comes with 3 font choices as seen in the teaser image. These choices can be found in the "Font size" dropdown menu.

If you find a bug, please report them. Before doing so, try to see and think why the bug occurs. Does it only happen in 1 application? Does it happen when you change a setting in Windows?

I'm ashamed that I hadn't added this to my faves the day this was posted. I actually believed that I did do that.

With that being said, it's now been added to my faves! :+fav: Once again; thanks for creating this black version of Novus. You've made loads of people happy by creating and releasing this! :D

O, widzę, że nie tylko ja modyfikowałem Novusa na czarno :) Z tym że ja postanowiłem zmienić w nim nieco więcej. Mam nieduży monitor -> używam niskiej rozdzielczości -> potrzebuję dwurzędowego paska zadań. Żaden VS, jaki widziałem nie był do tego w 100% przystosowany (dolny rząd wyglądał trochę bez sensu z takim samym połyskiem jak górny, dlatego musiałem wymyślić sposób na to, by styl wyglądał dobrze i jednocześnie spójnie. Postanowiłem, że przycisk Start będzie większy, a rzędy na pasku będą rozdzielone swoistym wcięciem. Zrezygnowałem z paska szybkiego uruchamiania, a jego zawartość poprzypinałem w Menu Start. Poza tym uwielbiam kolorystykę black+orange+white, dlatego wszystkie elementy zostały ograniczone do tych kolorów. Nad swoją modyfikacją pracowałem na przełomie sierpnia i września, więc nie widziałem jeszcze wtedy Twojej wersji. Jeśli jesteś ciekaw efektu, oto on: [link] :)

a po Ci tak szeroki pasek tym bardziej mając niską rozdzielczość ekranu gruby pasek zajmuje Ci tylko więcej miejsca na pulpicie, no efekt twojej pracy jak dla mnie średni. Pozdro

Pasek szeroki, bo często korzystam z wielu programów i okien naraz i muszę widzieć co jest co, gdy się pomiędzy nimi przełączam.

A mógłbyś chociaż napisać dlaczego tylko średni? Chodzi o tą wklęsłość pośrodku?

tak przede wszystkim ta wklęsłość/cień wygląda bardzo kiepsko, przycisk menu start tez nie za ciekawie, reszta jest w miarę ok.
